EXTRAORDINARY VICTORIAN SIGNED R.J. HORNER, NEW YORK, CARVED MAHOGANY CHINA CABINET.

19th Century. This outstanding carved lion head china cabinet has both front glass door and sides and features carvings of floral rosettes and guilloche carved frieze above the central bowed glass door flanked by acanthus carved pilasters topped by a fully carved lion masks. The interior of the cabinet fitted with four conforming glass shelves and the cabinet having a mirrored back. The entire cabinet is supported by raised carved pawed feet. The original R.J. Horner label affixed to the back which reads, “R.J. Horner & Company, furniture makers and importers, 61, 63, 65, West 23rd Street, New York”.
