RARE AND FINE RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED OAK SIDEBOARD.

Third quarter 19th century, probably New York. The arched molded foliate and fruit carved crest centering a clock marked “Paul Gagnier/Paris” on the enamel dial amongst scrolling carved elements all above a molded shaped shelf raised on carved supports. Back panel fitted with four recessed green/black marble panels. Sideboard base with molded top above two aligned drawers flanked by two pivoting drawers with curved fronts above open shelves centering a pair of cupboard doors, each inset with marble panels as above, all on a molded plinth. The whole constructed of quarter sawn oak. SIZE: 92″ h x 91″ w x 22″ d. CONDITION: One cracked marble panel second from left facing, otherwise with minor cracks, splits and small losses to carvings. 50647-2 (3,000-4,000) – Lot 3083
