HUGE AND SPECTACULAR BING BEAR CIRCA 1920s.

A breathtaking and significant Bing bear with personality enough to fill a room. This toddler sized masterpiece is made from long thick and curly tan mohair which has uniform fading to the body and darkening at the joints. This is often seen with bears of this construction and period. Teddy is 5-ways jointed with tan felt paw pads and chubby rounded features. He has black claw stitching on his hands and feet. His large and round head comes to life with over-sized glass pupil eyes, a shaved muzzle, and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. A most significant addition to any vintage teddy bear collection. SIZE: Overall 30″ t (76cm). Sitting 20″ t (50cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection.
