SN 3418464. Cal. 30-06. This Springfield 1903-A4 has the type II WWII Redfield scope base with “Redfield” visible on the left side of the scope base. Last issue type telescope M73B1 is SN 7669611 which is consistent with the late SN on this rifle. Scope optics are cross hair only indicating Military issue. Bbl date “7-43”. Correct type stamped small square buttplate. Stock is “C” type with “RA” cross cannon and “FJA” cartouche. Inspection marks both to rear and forward of the floorplate are consistent with reference book by J.C. Harrison. Included with this rifle is an orig green web sling. PROVENANCE: From High Condition Collection of Discerning U.S. Military Rifle Collector, Offered Without Reserve. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine to near excellent with over 98% orig smooth green finish on receiver, scope base and bbl with deep lustrous blue on bolt, forend cap and scope. Stock is extremely fine approaching near excellent with a couple minor light dings and scrapes with clearly discernible stock cartouche. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright.
