YELLOW WOOL PLUSH STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

Somewhat unusual yellow wool plush Steiff bear from circa 1930. Teddy is 5-ways jointed and has tan felt paw pads with four black hand-embroidered claws on each. His face is detailed with black and brown glass pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. He has a nonworking growler and a somewhat serious facial expression, which is typical of bears of the time. Steiff bears in this material size and age are fairly unusual on the secondary market. Ted retains his larger trailing “F” button and traces of the yellow ear tag as his Steiff IDs. SIZE: Overall 18″ t (45cm). Sitting 11-1/2″ (29cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection.
