TIFFANY FAVRILE CAMEO VASE WITH INSERT.

Tiffany favrile vase has yellow background graduating to amber at the shoulder with dark amber/red vertical bands from rim to foot. Vase is decorated with large cameo wheel-carved leaves extending upward from the foot. Vase is accompanied by a ribbed gold favrile iridescent glass insert marked Y6406 L.C.T. Vase has a factory drilled hole in the bottom and signed on the underside “L.C.T. 1014B”. We are told that the hole in the bottom of the vase was meant to go over a peg on a mantle or shelf in order to avoid the chance of the vase being knocked over. SIZE: Vase 8-1/2″ t. Insert 5″ t. CONDITION: Vase is very good to excellent with two small open bubbles in the mouth from the making. Insert is very good to excellent. 5-69317 (6,500-7,500) – Lot 3063
