Last quarter 19th century, probably American. The square tabletop picture frame cast with swimming koi amongst stylized waves in the Art Nouveau taste. The jewelry casque of Classical form cast overall with scrolling floral vinery set within panels. The hinged lid opening to an open well lined with original dark emerald green velvet. The whole of rectangular form with canted corners. The top mounted with a fraternal crest surmounted by eagle. SIZE: Frame: 6″ square. Box: 2″ h x 4-1/2″ l x 3″ d. CONDITION: Both structurally intact. Surfaces undisturbed with darkened appropriate patina. Very good overall. 52182-8 (500-800) – Lot 3062
