LARGE GOLD STEIFF BEAR WITH BUTTON.

Circa 1930 Steiff bear made from lovely long, golden colored mohair. Ted is 5-ways jointed and stuffed with excelsior. His face is detailed with brown and black pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Bear has tan felt paw pads with black embroidered claws and a working growler; his collar is not original. The bear’s face has a somewhat serious expression, typical of the period. Ted retains his long trailing “F” button and remnants of his yellow ear tag as his Steiff IDs. SIZE: Overall 25″ t (60cm). Sitting 16″ t (40cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: One tiny hole in left paw pad. General fading. Possible reinforcement of ankles and restitching of nose and mouth. Otherwise very good. 1-13850 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 3061
