SN 158145. Cal. 38 AMU. Blue finish 5″ bbl with BO-MAR target rear adjustable sight with Clark extended front sight. Aggressively stippled frontstrap with stippled backstrap. Extended adjustable Clark trigger with 2-pc checkered Beckelhymer’s walnut stocks. Best quality custom 1911 target pistol with Colt factory letter indicating sold to Gil Hebard Guns but shipped to James Clark, Shreveport, Louisiana, November of 1961. Underside of slide is marked “L.CLARK, SHREVEPORT, LA” with his work number “1260”. Hebard and Clark, two of the foremost recognized custom 1911 dealers and both being identified on one single gun. Bbl marked “Colt 38 Spec. Kit”. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, with most all custom bright Clark blue remaining. Bbl lockup and fitting is exceptionally tight. Bore and mechanics are bright and crisp. Grips are excellent with no distress or evidence of wear. Magazine is a Colt Commercial 38 Special Magazine.
