SN 251562. Cal. 45. All parts proper and orig. Vertical “P H” marked bbl. Dbl diamond checkered stocks, wide spur hammer, narrow front sight, standard “COLT PATENT” markings, “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” markings, “RAMPANT COLT” at rear of slide, “JMG” (John M. Gibbert) inspectors cartouche. Slide marked “MODEL OF U S ARMY”. All proper and correct. Accompanying standard Model 1917 leather holster marked “CLINTON 1918 F.W.T.”. Accompanying Colt Factory letter dated July 11, 2008. CONDITION: Overall 92% orig finish. Dirty, but mirror bore. Right walnut stocks heavily worn on bottom; left stock mostly crisp. Two-tone magazine shows moderate to heavy wear. Moderate thinning of front and rear grip straps. Overall a very attractive, all correct and original 1911 “JMG” inspected pistol.
