LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE STEIFF BROWN MOHAIR BEAR WITH BUTTON.

This circa late 1920s big brown bruin is made from long and curly light chocolate to chocolate colored mohair and is 5-ways jointed. He is firmly stuffed and has tan colored felt paw pads with black hand-embroidered claws. His gentle face is detailed with over-sized brown and black glass pupil eyes, an unshaven muzzle, and a black hand-stitched nose and mouth. The bear retains his long trailing “F” Steiff button and remnants of the red ear tag as his Steiff IDs. A sweet treat for any Steiff collector. SIZE: Overall 27″ t (70cm). Sitting 18″ t (44cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Right paw pad with very minor repair, other pads with very minor holes. Possible reinforcement of ankle.
