*LOT OF THREE COLT PATTERN HANDGUNS.

1) KOREAN COPY 1911. SN 140. Cal. 45 ACP. Only slide markings are “LIVITANITL”, otherwise the slide bbl and receiver are internally marked with either a “G” or a “9” or a “6”. Mag appears to be a well used G.I. mag with considerable pitting and no finish. Walnut stocks appear to be heavily used G.I. double diamond. All other parts appear to have been workshop made. Pistol appears to function, but it is not recommended to fire the pistol without a gunsmiths compliance. Front sight appears to be a copy of the late 1911A1 sight with serrated rear ramp. Rear sight is also a copy of the late 1911A1 notched. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Bore is pitted but shows remains of rifling. Pistol appears to be in-the-white with no finish applied. Considerable surface deterioration. 2) COLT NEW ARMY & NAVY REVOLVER. SN 262565. Cal. .38 COLT. 6″ bbl, full blue finish, 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Top of bbl shows Colt 2-line address and patent mark. Left side of bbl shows cal mark. Assembly NO. 1557 appears on the frame, in the crane mortise, on the crane opposite the mortise, on the lever latch, and scratched on the inside of both grips. SN is stamped on the butt at the toe. Frame has Rampant Colt logo in a circle stamped on left side above grip. Front left trigger guard bow shows “VP” proof, rear left trigger guard bow shows assembler number “3”. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Revolver shows a deep crusty blue/brown patina overall with evidence of slight re-finishing. Markings are sharp and unpolished. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Hammer and trigger are a gray/brown patina and also show evidence of re-finish. Grips are very good, intact, with sharp checkering and clear logos. 3) COLT GOVT MODEL. SN 25260. Cal. 45 ACP. Right side slide marking “Colt Automatic Calibre 45”, left side has standard Colt 1913 last patent date marking and Colt’s Hartford address, Rampant Colt to the rear of serrations, left upper trigger guard bow has verified proof, lower trigger guard bow has “R” final inspector, right trigger guard bow is unmarked, behind slide stop pin is marked “Government Model” over “C25260”. Mag bottom marked “Colt .45 Auto”, fully blued welded base. Slide stop has 1911-type relief under thumb grip. Thumb safety is early type with milled area under thumb checkering, hammer is short wide checkered, grip safety has short tang, mainspring housing has lanyard loop. Front sight is thin-type with small dents, rear sight is thin “U” notch-type. Stocks are standard Colt double diamond. Bbl shows remains of “P” mark at front of ejection port. Slide stop has groove in rear. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Mag catch and mag catch lock very good. Front grip strap shows mild thinning of finish with partial finger print. Slide shows pitting from ejection port back on right side and thinning of finish on muzzle on both sides. Stocks show crisp checkering with only a few broken small diamonds, large diamonds crisp and clear. Stock screws in near excellent condition. Bore is shiny with some frosting in the chamber end. Mainspring housing is thinning. Overall very attractive, 95% of finish remains. 51517-10, 51517-15, 51517-118 (5,000-6,000) – Lot 3050
