CIRCA 1919 BROWN MOHAIR BING BEAR ON WHEELS WITH MARK.

Teddy is standing on all fours and unjointed. He is made from brown mohair, which has taken on coppery highlights over time. Teddy’s paw pads are made from brown felt and he does not have any embroidered claws. The bear’s face is detailed with brown and black glass pupil eyes, a distinctive shaved muzzle area, and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Teddy rides upon four early metal wheels. Teddy has his black and red Bing mark on his front right paw. SIZE: 7-1/2″ t (19cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Wheels on carriage loose; 3 of 4 wheels are not original.
