*VERY ATTRACTIVE UNION SWITCH & SIGNAL 1911A1 PISTOL WITH.

SN 1087740. Cal 45 auto. 5″ bbl This pistol retains 99% plus of a later applied refinish. The muzzle-end of the slide has a characteristically darker aspect due to the hardening process and appears darker due to the refinishing. The markings are crisp and well defined with an “R.C.D.” cartouche on the left side of the frame. The Keyes Fiber Co. stocks are in fine shape with some minor flattening of the points, mostly near the top of the right side panel. A single Scovill manufactured magazine is included. This is a nice condition Union Switch & Signal 1911 A 1 which although refinished is very attractive. PROVENANCE: From High Condition Collection of Discerning U.S. Military Rifle Collector, Offered Without Reserve. CONDITION: High standard bbl is refinished with dirty bore, having some mild frosting within the grooves. Sights are replaced with staking around rear sight, front and rear sight are similar to GI sights. Trigger has dull refinish.
