1920s ERA STEIFF LAMB ON WHEELS WITH BUTTON.A sweet and well designed and manufactured barnyard friend on wheels. Lamb is standing on all fours, unjointed, and made from white mohair. His legs and face are made from slightly shorter mohair. His hooves are made from white leather and white felt. His pert ears are made from mohair and are lined in white felt. Lamb’s face is detailed with green and black pupil eyes and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. His muzzle is highlighted with just a touch of red paint. Lamb’s bow is not original, but his bell might be. He rides upon four early-style Steiff metal wheels. Lamb retains his trailing “F” button and traces of his ear tag as his Steiff IDS. SIZE: Overall 9″ t (23cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Light playwear and some mohair thinning, especially on right hand side and on muzzle area.
