LARGE TIFFANY & CO GILT CAST BRASS DOUBLE ARM WALL SCONCE.

Last quarter 19th century, Tiffany & Co. New York. The rectangular beveled mirror plate within the brass surround densely cast cascading fruits and flower heads with fleur de lis at the corners, mounted with a pair of s-scrolled candle arms cast with leaftips terminating in foliate candle cups and bobeches mounted on a grotesque masque affixed to the lower border of mirror. The sconce surmounted by a pierced and scrolling crest cast with putti holding a shield form cartouche amongst floral vinery. The brass backplate stamped “TIFFANY & CO MAKERS” with model numbers of “0426” and “6210”. SIZE: 24-1/2″ l x 11″ w. PROVENANCE: From a New Orleans family collection. CONDITION: Very good overall with untouched original surface. Candle arms darkened from handling. 52371-1 (600-800) – Lot 3045
