EARLY WHITE STEIFF MOHAIR CAT WITH BUTTON ON WHEELS.

This circa 1909 cat is standing, unjointed and mounted on four metal wheels. His face is detailed with black and light green slit pupil style glass eyes. Cat wears blue bow imprinted with the word “Steiff” on it. Cat has pink hand-embroidered nose and mouth and has clear monofilament whiskers. Cat retains a small trailing “F” button and traces of his white ear tag. This pattern was produced in 17, 22 and 28cm from 1904-1928 overall. SIZE: 7″ t (17cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: A quarter sized slight tan mark on back of the head. Otherwise very good. 1-13793 (1,500-2,000) – Lot 3045
