Cat is standing unjointed, made from white felt and is on wheels. Wearing a purple tassel which may not be original. Cat’s simple face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes and pink nose and mouth hand stitching. Cat retains his tiny blank Steiff button, putting his manufacture about 1905 or 1906. A classic design executed endearingly. SIZE: Overall 6-1/2″ t (16cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Tiny hole in felt in muzzle. Tail restitched to body.
