RARE SET OF ARTS AND CRAFTS IRON FIREPLACE TOOLS WITH STAND ATTRIBUTED TO GREENE AND GREENE.

First quarter 20th century, American. Set comprised of shovel, tongs, poker, and brush. Each with square handles mounted on matching wrought iron stand with four legged base raised on inscrolled feet. Note: Greene and Greene was an architectural firm established by brothers Charles Sumner Greene (1868–1957) and Henry Mather Greene (1870–1954), influential early 20th Century American architects. Active primarily in California, their houses and larger-scale ultimate bungalows are prime exemples of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. SIZE: Overall height 32-1/2″.
