*VERY ATTRACTIVE COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL PISTOL CIRCA 1914.

SN C14802. Cal. 45 . 1911 Government Model. Right side of slide marked “COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 45”. Left side of slide marked standard Colt patent markings. Rear of slide under sight appliance “RAMPANT COLT” marking. Left trigger guard bow upper marked with verified proof; lower trigger guard marked “Y”. CONDITION: Bright high polished, orig finish on frame and slide. Slide stop, thumb safety, and grip safety show smoky blue finish. Fitted with clip-on wide notch front and rear sight appliances that appear to be easily removed. Probable replacement stock screws and stocks. Thinning of finish on front grip strap apparently from users ring. Rear grip strap, very, very nice. Bbl in the white through ejection port. Bright mirror bore. Standard two-tone magazine shows moderate wear and oxidation. Overall condition a very attractive 92%. 51590-6 (2,000-2,500) C&R – Lot 3033
