EXTREMELY RARE GARY COOPER MOVIE BANNER FOR THE “VIRGINIAN”.

This is believed to be the only example known. Banners, in general, are significantly rarer than movie posters and this is an outstanding one. It was for what turned out to be a fine and popular Western movie which included a young Gary Cooper. This important movie purportedly elevated Cooper from strong leading man to a super star. This is his first talking movie and the movie actually appeared without sound and with sound; depending upon where it was played. The banner features fabulous bright colors and is a great rarity; one of cinemas most famous action heroes. The movie was produced by Paramount in 1929. SIZE: 118″ l x 35-1/2″ h.
