Third quarter 19th century, Southern region of America. This whimsical folk art example depicting a fantasy steamboat form of three decks with scrolling rails alternating with posts each mounted with potted shrubbery with latticework windows and ornamentation throughout. The circular front mimicking the bow and bridge of steamboat. The whole surmounted with flag on s scrolled wrought iron base. Painted in red, white and blue surfaces which appear original. SIZE: 25″ h x 25-1/2″ l x 14″ w. CONDITION: Structurally good with normal and expected in use wear. The roof with slight abrasions and soiling throughout. 52308-10 (800-1,200) – Lot 3028
