IVES SUFFRAGETTE CLOCKWORK TOY.This animated African-American woman with exaggerated features and bulging eyes stands atop a walnut base and podium proclaiming the rights for all women. The podium is topped with a red velvet cloth with a blue book centered atop. She stands behind the podium and she wears a dress that may or may not be original. When the clockwork mechanism is activated she leans forward, pounding her right hand on the podium while her head slowly turns to and fro. SIZE: 10-1/2″ h x 4-1/2″ d x 4″ w. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Morris Racker. CONDITION: Mechanism moves but not properly. Figure is very good. 51956-3 (4,000-6,000) – Lot 3017
