SN 4888. Cal. 45 ACP. 10-1/2″ bbl. This Colt 1921A Thompson retains its orig 1921 internal parts, and includes one “Seymour” 30 rnd magazine. Front of stock retains visible Remington proof mark. Upper and lower numbers match. Mechanism operates smoothly with proper spring tension. This weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This item is fully transferable on the ATF Form 3 or Form 4, as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent with over 95% deep lustrous orig blue finish with wear to the high edges and scattered light scratches. There is some slight wear where the actuator contacts the edges of the actuator slot. Buttstock has an especially attractive dark brown color with some light dings & very faint scratches. Fewer handling marks on the pistol grip and fore grip. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Magazine retains about 70% of its orig finish. Many collectors who are also shooters prefer the Thompson without the “cutts” compensator as it is easier to clean after firing. 50450-2 JWK34 (25,000-45,000) C&R – Lot 3014
