OUTSTANDING ANTIQUE AMISH BUILT DOLLS’ HOUSE.Late 19th century. This painted wooden brick dolls’ house is illustrated in the book Dolls’ Houses In America, by Flora Jacobs, published in 1975. This dolls’ house came directly from an Amish family in the Lancaster, PA area. There is a front and back porch, the roofs have hand-split shingles and the dark green shutters have raised panels with workable hinges. The house opens from the left side to reveal two large rooms with rafters. The interior of the house has dark stained woodwork with pastel painted walls. Floors are have crudely made planks of wood. Rooms measure approximately 19″ w x 32″ l x 9-1/2″ h. Top floor has vaulted ceilings. SIZE: 32″ h x 25-1/2″ w x 39″ d. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 52380-28 (800-1,200) – Lot 3013
