EARLY AND ENDEARING BING BEAR WITH MARK.

This circa 1910 Bing bear is made from lovely long blond mohair which has faded gently over time. She is 5-ways jointed with tan felt pads and black claw stitching. Her face is detailed with relatively small ears, black shoebutton eyes, shaved muzzle and a black hand-embroidered nose and mouth. Non-working growler. You can see a touch of the brown underlying felt under her nose. This bear has her early silver Bing mark under her left arm. SIZE: Overall 21″ t (54cm). Sitting 14″ t (36cm). PROVENANCE: Chuck & Cathy Steffes Collection. CONDITION: Light overall mohair loss. Paw pads with wear and restoration. Otherwise good. 1-13838 (2,500-5,000) – Lot 3006
