SMALL FRAME VOLCANIC PISTOL SERIAL NUMBER ONE. The serial number is on the frame, under the grips and on the grips. Marked on bbl “NEW HAVEN CONN. PATENT FEB 14. 1854” The face of the hammer has a dovetail insert to compensate for wear. The number 637 appears on both pieces of the bolt. CONDITION: Mellow patina on brass with two notches at the left side of the grip opening. The bbl is lightly pitted overall. Mechanically fine. 4-46936 FS1 (5,000-8,000)
