LOUIS XIV STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY SOFA.

American 1930’s. The shaped crest rail with scrolling central floral crest continuing to down sloping arms, centering 3 seat cushions. The serpentine seat rails floal and foliate carved, raised on 4 short frontal cabriole legs terminating in snail feet and on 2 back swept rear legs. SIZE: Height of back: 34-1/2″ Height of seat 18″ Overall length 78″. PROVENANCE: A private Maine/Texas collection. CONDITION: Frame with old stress breaks at each shoulder, now repaired. Recently re-covered in dusty blue velvet. Frame retains old surface. Proper left rear leg with break at end. 50012-24 (100-150) – Lot 2646
