Mid 19th – mid 20th century, American. 1) Empire mahogany footstool with serpentine case with molded edge on bracket feet with shaped returns raised on casters with eggplant velvet covering. 2) Victorian walnut stool, with serpentine molded frame raised on cabriole legs with conforming over-upholstered cover. 3) Late Victorian footstool, square top with needlepoint covering of lily sprays and polychrome flowers raised on iron gold painted cabriole legs cast with north wind masks, scrolling leaf tips and paw feet. 4) Child’s clawfoot stool, rectangular frame with sloping arms and rests centering a needlepoint cover terminating in carved claw feet. SIZE: 1) 12″ h x 17″ l x 14-1/2″ w. 2) 15″ h x 21″ l x 17″ w. 3) 7-1/2″ h x 12 x 12 square. 4) 9-1/2″ h overall x 6″ h of seat x 17″ l x 9″ w. PROVENANCE: From a Maine/Texas estate being sold unreserved.
