20th century, New England. 1) The first an oval example with patriotic American eagle with crest, clutch of arrows and olive branch within a blue border of stars. 2) The second with 2 rows of sailboats centering a row of signal flags, 3 compass rose rosettes at each end. Hooked in blues, reds and white. SIZE: 1) 3′ 1″ x 5′ 2″. 2) 3′ x 4′ 1″. PROVENANCE: From the personal estate collection of John W.
