SMALL PINE SETTLE TOGETHER WITH CHILD’S LADDER BACK ROCKING CHAIR.

Second half 19th Century, New England. 1) Rectangular back with molded crest rail above plank seat, the side single board supports with shaped arms and scalloped cut-out at base, now in terracotta red paint. 2) The child’s rocker, a charming country example in green paint, the back with two arched slats joined to cylindrical stiles with slender onion finials. The arms on turned supports centering a splint woven seat raised on cylindrical legs joined to rockers. SIZE: Height: 31″ Length: 41-1/2″ Depth: 15″. 2) 21″ h. Seat h 9″. 12-1/2″ w. CONDITION: 1) Structurally good with dry crusty surfaces. Back of settle with earlier crusty green over cream painted surfaces. 2) Good original painted surface with overall appropriate wear.
