TWO LOUIS XV STYLE “TABLES DE CHEVET”.

France. The first a 19th century fruitwood example of pegged construction with scalloped 3/4 gallery centering a top above serpentine open compartment and midrail shelf front edge raised on slender tapering cabriole legs. The second, a 20th century fruitwood and beech example of similar form, the case carved with three stylized hearts. The top and lower shelf each with straight beveled edge. SIZE: First: 29-1/2″ h x 15-1/2 ” w x 11-1/2 ” d. Second: 27″ h x 16″ w x 11″ d. CONDITION: Each stand with cleaned surfaces and with light staining on top. Otherwise structurally intact with no restoration noted. First with old and inactive insect damage. This does not affect structural integrity. Both generally good. 51437-13 (600-800) – Lot 2606
