EMPIRE MAHOGANY TILT TOP CANDLESTAND.

Mid 19th century, probably New York. The rectangular top with molded edge and canted corners hinged and tilting on a ring-turned urn-form pedestal joined to a tripod base of reeded, outswept legs with small rosettes at the terminals raised on small ball feet. SIZE: 29-3/4″ h x 24″ l x 18″ w. CONDITION: Surfaces original with crusty varnish and dark patina. Old repairs at base of pedestal at juncture of two legs with some loss.
