WOOD TRAY, BOOK CADDY, LAP DESK, ROSEWOOD BOX AND A BOOK BOX.

1) 23″ x 15-1/2″ Regency galleried cut corner tray with decorative inlay. The gallery marked sterling silver has two handles and a railing with turned posts. 2) 16-1/2″ x 10-3/4″ dovetailed book caddy. The open tray with stepped front has a D-shaped handle, all edges with a brass molding. Mahogany with a felt bottom. 3) 7″ h x 14″ w x 10-1/2″ d rosewood fitted box. Box having brass line inlay, brass edges, and beautifully figured rosewood veneers. The top with a monogram & crown, interior with five bottle or inkwell compartments, open interior with felt bottom probably had two pull out trays. Original lock present which is signed “J. Bramah 124 Piccadilly” with a crown. Box has two side handles, one is fixed in open position. 4) 5-1/2″ h x 14″ w x 10″ d mahogany lap desk having sectioned compartments, three having lids. 5) 3″ h x 15″ w x 12″ d hinged locking book or document box. Side hinge top opens to reveal compartment with hinged front section having a lock. CONDITION: 1) Unpolished surface, generally good. 2) Loss to one corner of dovetail, another corner has 3″ bottom sliver missing. 3) One complete side missing veneer, some scarring to veneers and scratches, some veneer pieces missing from bottom top edge. 4) In need of refurbishing, writing surface damaged, both front corners & one back corner missing molding. 5) Scratches to surface, front drop door has swelled and is not functioning properly. 51437-6 (600-700) – Lot 2561
