VICTORIAN WALNUT MARBLE TOP TABLE AND WALNUT COMMODE.

3rd quarter 19th century, American. The table with white marble top with beveled edge and bowed ends above the conforming frieze raised on a central shaped baluster-turned pedestal, joined by four scrolling downturned legs mounted with carved rosettes and c-scrolled supports. The commode with white marble top with beveled edge and fitted with splash guard above the rectangular case with an arrangement of long drawer above a bank of two short drawers and cabinet door, all with burl walnut panels on a molded plinth. SIZE: 1) 30″ h x 31-1/2″ l x 23″ d. 2) 33-1/2″ h overall x 30″ l x 16-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: From a Maine/Texas estate being sold unreserved. CONDITION: 1) Small chip on molded corner of marble. Base professionally cleaned and re-polished. Good overall. 2) Retains original brasses. Door escutcheon absent. Original surface good to very good overall. 51358-29, 51358-32, (300-500) – Lot 2556
