WINCHESTER 1ST MODEL HOTCHKISS CARBINE. Cal. 45-55. Standard carbine with 24″ round bbl, square base front sight and 1000yd rear sight. 1-pc walnut stock with single band and saddle ring attached to the left side with carbine-type smooth steel buttplate. SN 12277. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl and receiver retains 92-93% original blue turning dull over the chamber area, trigger guard about 75% dull blue and buttplate about 90% bright blue. Wood is sound and retains most of its original oil finish with some loss around the saddle ring. Bright shiny bore. 4-46655 JR130 (2,000-3,000)
