Hinged demilune top with contrasting string inlaid borders above conforming frieze inlaid with delicate crossed foliate sprigs within inlaid borders raised on 4 tapering square legs, front 3 each surmounted by 3 aligned inlaid “tear drops”, 1 rear leg hinged with gate for support. MAKER’S REF: American Cabinet Makers, Marked American Furniture 1640 – 1940, by William C. Ketchum Jr., pgs 123 – 124. SIZE: 29″ h x 36″ w x 17-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From a private Coastal Maine Estate collection.
