CHILD’S CARVED AND PAINTED HOBBY HORSE ON WOOD STAND.

Last quarter, 19th century, American. The dappled gray horse with natural hair, mane and tail, and with glass eyes joined to an elliptical support on hinged brackets. Rocking on a rigid frame painted in red with black trim and ivory scroll work. SIZE: 35″ h x 47″ l x 18″ w overall. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: Horse and frame structurally intact. Painted surfaces with normal wear and expected abrasion. Bridle present but detached as are side trappings to saddle. Mane present but detached.
