*WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER SHORT RIFLE. Cal. 32WS. Unusual short rifle with 20″ oct. to round bbl, full magazine, takedown, 8-3/8″ forearm, uncheckered wood, straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl has a modified half-nickel front sight, smokeless 32WS rear sight and Lyman tang sight. SN 203017. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Metal retains about 95% original bright blue overall, thin on bottom. Lever and hammer retain 60-70% bright case colors, stronger on the hammer and sides of the lever. Buttplate with traces of case colors. Wood is sound with a lightly sanded amateur refinish. Minor dings on the takedown ring. Strong bright frosty bore. 4-46741 JR89 (1,500-2,500)
