First half 20th Century. 1) Sarouk rug with stylized floral shrubbery and floral filled urns on a plum ground within a midnight blue floral main border flanked by light brown guard borders of scrolling floral vinery. 2) Hamadan rug with overall polychrome floral sprays on a rose pink ground within a floral main border flanked by floral guard borders. 3) Antique Feraghan rug with elongated octagonal central floral medallion in midnight blue and rose red within a rose pink ground with polychrome floral vinery within madder red spandrels each with a central blossom all within a blue/black floral main border. 4) Semi-antique Johann Sarouk Oriental rug with a central floral polychrome poled medallion in a deep indigo field of dense floral sprays within a scrolling border of flower blossoms all within a dark terracotta floral border and indigo outer border of scrolling vinery. SIZE: 1) 3′ 4″ x 4′ 10″. 2) 2′ 7″ x 4′ 9″. 3) 3′ 7″ x 4′ 10″. 4) 4′ 3″ x 6′ 6″. PROVENANCE: Maralyn Young estate, Arundel/Falmouth Maine, being sold unreserved. CONDITION: 1) With painted ground, overall even slight wear, and loss to fringe at ends. 2) With soiling and general wear, fair to good overall, loss of fringe to ends. 3) With significant even wear, patterns and colors remain clear, rug with overall soiling and has lost its suppleness, otherwise fair overall. 4) Even wear overall, multiple spot areas of foundation showing, loss to end fringes and wear to selvedge, otherwise fair to good. 51412-72 (1,000-1,500) – Lot 2495
