DAUM NANCY WHEEL-CARVED AND MARTELE CAMEO TULIP VASE.

Exceptionally well-executed Daum Nancy cameo vase in baluster form has wheel-carved tulip blossoms in pale blue with stems and leaves of purple, set against a martele finished background of mottled iridescent blue fading to purple. When backlit, the blue tulips and leaves illuminate a rich golden yellow. Vase is further decorated with traces of gilding at foot and rim. Vase is signed on the martele pontil with carved and gilded “Daum Nancy” and Cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 7 3/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 50250-4 (3,000-5,000) – Lot 2489
