INTERESTING LOT OF SMALL STERLING AND SILVER PLATED ITEMS.

The lot comprised of 1) 12″ sterling skewer, London, 1804, possible Thomas Wallis; 2) 4″ dia. 916/1000 Portuguese Sarmento silver bowl; 2″ h English sterling cobalt glass lined mustard pot, London, 1913; Pair of 1-3/4″ dia. ball footed salts, London, 1904; Two 2-1/2″ English sterling salt spoons, Birmingham, 1901; 4″ mustard spoon, hallmarked “R E”; Pair of 2″ open salts, 1852 KP, European; 2″ h cup with applied initials, 1937, marked “C. Holm 830/1000″; Interesting 2-1/2″ h two-handled dish, hallmarked on bottom, probably European; 2″ h pedestal salt, European hallmark to base; Oval 1-1/2″ h hinged box hallmarked; Two 3″ h vinaigrettes?,one with scroll decoration and top crown, the other with heart & bird finial having an extra lid on base. Both European hallmarks and probably 19th Century; 4″ w underliner, Birmingham, 1920. Along with a pair of 2” dia. Atla footed miniature candlesticks; and three mother of pearl salts. Total weighable silver is approximately 20 troy oz. PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved.
