TOWLE STERLING FLATWARE WITH OTHER STERLING AND SILVER PLATE.The service done in the Craftsman pattern which include; eight 7-1/4″ forks, eight 6-1/2″ forks, eight 6-1/4″ soup spoons, eight 6″ teaspoons, two 7″ tablespoons, one 8-1/2″ serving spoon, four 6″ butter pats, eight 8-3/4″ dinner knives, one 6-1/2″ cheese knife, one 5-1/4″ pickle fork. Most monogrammed “L” on the handle. Together with thirteen miscellaneous pieces of silver including; spoons, sugar tong, and napkin ring. Also comes with a large group of various silver plate flatware and serving pieces including a large Sheffield soup ladle and two box sets of 8″ knives with synthetic handles. Weighable silver is approximately 55 troy oz. PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved.
