ASSEMBLED DANISH SILVER TEA SET.

The set made up of a tea pot with twist design body standing on a splayed foot and cover having flower form finial, underside with assayer mark, 74, and the maker Dahlbom. Together with a creamer and sugar with similar design by Peter Hertz. The bodies with similar twist design standing on curved feet and marked on the underside with P. Hertz along with an assayer mark for Johannes Siggaard, 1932 – 1960. Comes with silverplate tray having monogram along top edge. Tea set weight approximately 24 troy oz. SIZE: Tea pot 5″. Creamer and sugar 3-3/4″. Tray 16-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved.
