AESTHETIC MOVEMENT OAK CHINA CABINET SIDEBOARD.

Last quarter 19th century, American. The benchmade one piece cabinet in quarter-sawn oak, constructed with a row of four beveled glass door cabinets: the central pair with fixed shelf all with three-quarter gallery above. Each end compartment with clear beveled glass on exterior side. The cabinets raised on supporting Gothic style corbels embellished with pierced quatrafoils and with square chamfered posts at each end centering the paneled back. The lower cabinet with a central drawer above a pair of paneled doors flanked by two open display shelves joined to molded and chamfered frontal supports. The sideboard on a molded base. SIZE: 7′ 6″ t x 6′ w x 20″ d. PROVENANCE: From a Maine/Texas estate being sold unreserved. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Sideboard professionally refinished, now in a vibrant golden oak color.
