Photo measures 23″ w x 9″ h. 3) Early photograph of a locomotive named “Monarch” with a tender marked “Boston & Lowell”. Circa 1885. Very good condition. Photo measures 9-1/2″ w x 5-1/4″ h. 4) Rhode Island Locomotive Works, Providence, RI photograph of locomotive named “Pawtucket” and tender which reads “P & W. R. R.”. Builders plate is dated 1884. Very good condition with some light bleed-thru discoloration from the original wood backing. 5) American Locomotive Co., New York City photograph of locomotive #601 with tender lettered “Boston & Albany”. Very good condition; needs matte replaced. Photo size is 23″ w x 9″ h. 6) “Boston & Maine” lettered tender with locomotive #483. Provenance label reads: “Henry Hurst-Brakeman Newburyport (MA) 1898”. Photo quality is grainy with some age toning, otherwise good to very good condition.
