*RARE REMINGTON 8F SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE IN 35 REMINGTON.

SN G42483. Cal. 35 Remington. This fancy Remington semi-auto has 22″ bbl fitted with buckhorn rear sight and silver bead front, and is marked with Remington information and patents on top. Typical blued action is fitted with Lyman peep sight. Action is engraved with 80% coverage exceptionally well cut large, open, shaded scroll. This scroll surrounds vignettes of game suitable for this caliber; buck and doe running through mountainous background on left, another doe being chased by hound on right, and portrait of a bear on top of action. Nicely streaked European walnut Remington capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over tan leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering with flare into butt, is at grip. Matching forend has schnabeled tip. Drop at heel: approx 2-3/4″, drop at comb: approx 1-7/8″. Weight: 8 lbs 3 oz. LOP: 14-3/4″. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal parts retain approx 90% orig blue, silvering on high edges from normal hand wear. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their orig finish with oil added, some loss and lightening around butt with installation of pad. Checkering is lightly worn and gummy. Bore is excellent.
