SCARCE A.G. GENEZ 10 GA HAMMER SHOTGUN.SN 667. Cal. 10 ga.28-1/2″ twist steel bbl with laminated top rib and brass front bead. 2-7/8″ chamber. Bbl flats marked “Canonner.A.Paris” and water table marked “Chas Green/Rochester N.Y.”. Dbl triggers, extractor, round ball grip checkered in three-point pattern with repair running behind both locks and 14-1/4″ LOP over full steel buttplate with brass shield near toe. Splinter forearm with wedge fastener and horn tip checkered in three-point pattern. Receiver is lightly scroll engraved as is trigger guard and top lever. Hammers are nicely knurled and fishhead engraved on tops. Weight: 8 lbs. 0 oz. CONDITION: Good to very good for this unusual maker. Bbls are very good with light staining and a few minor pings though retain most of their pattern. Buttstock and forearm are restored and retain most of of an old coat of heavy varnish. Buttstock with separation behind locks as noted above which should be repaired. Receiver with a heavy coat of old varnish. May clean and there could be case color underneath the varnish. There is some play in the action and bbls are slightly off the face. Bores are good with scattered beginning erosion. Mechanics are good. 51567-13 JSL (1,750-2,500) – Lot 2422
