*TASTEFULLY APPOINTED CSMC WINCHESTER MODEL 21 TWO BARREL SMALL GAUGE SET WITH CASE.SN W38328. Cal. 28 ga (2-3/4” Chambers)/ .410 (3” chambers). Both sets of 32” bbls are fitted with raised, matted, ventilated ribs mounted with “certifiable pre-ban ivory” beads. There are gold bands at breech ends with tendrils of gold inlaid scroll. Bbl flats are stamped with SNs, gauge, and chamber. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with chokes full and full, and with makers name and address (Connecticut Shotgun). Loops are stamped “1” (28 ga) and “2” (.410). Each bbl set has its dedicated forend stamped “1” and “2” on iron. Blued flat side action with milled out water table to reduce weight, features automatic safety and gold-plated sgl trigger. Action is adorned with simple gold wire border inlay with tendrils of scrolled gold wire as counterpoint at rear of action and on sides of floorplate. Trigger guard bow has more gold scroll emanating from central flower. SN is gold inlaid at grip, and stamped on top tang. Superb, oil finished, crotch figured American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/4” over checkered wood butt. Large panels of point pattern checkering with beaded borders are at grip. A vacant gold oval is on toe line. Matching beavertail braced forends have inset ebony tips, and typical Model 21 J-spring releases with knurled secondary locks. BBL set no. “1”: Drop at heel: 2-3/8“, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4”. BBL set no. “2”: Drop at heel: 2-3/8“, drop at comb: 1-5/16“. Weight: 7 lbs 13 oz. LOP: 14-1/4”. Green canvas case with tan leather trim and combination lock, is lined in green felt, and contains 2 Galazan marked boxes containing gold-plated snap caps. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg.
