*DECORATIVE LOT OF TWO EARLY SPORTING SHOTGUNS.1) ITHACA CRASS. SN 29161. Cal 12 ga. 28″ Twist bbls with 2-3/4″ chambers. Choked Extra Full/Extra Full. Full length matted top rib with ivory mid bead and ivory and brass front bead. Dbl triggers, extractor, auto safety. Capped pistol grip buttstock checkered in two-point pattern with checkered side panels and 13-5/8″ LOP over Ithaca Gun marked buttplate. Receiver stamped “Ithaca Hammerless” on both sides in light scroll pattern. Splinter forearm checkered in three-point pattern. Weight: 6 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain nearly all of bold orig pattern with heavy coat of old lacquer still scattered and present. Buttstock and forearm are very good with scattered nicks and scratches throughout and show most of an older restored professional finish. Checkering re-cut many years ago. Receiver retains approx 50% orig case color. Mechanics are very good with strong main spring as it is stiff to cock. Trigger guard retains about half of its orig blued finish. Bores are excellent, bright and shiny with a few light scratches. ESA 2) WILLIAM CASHMORE HAMMER. SN 1376. Cal. 10 ga. 33-1/8″ fluid steel bbls. 3-1/4″ chambers (brass casing) nitro proof. Full length matted top rib with brass bead. Bbls marked “Wm Cashmore / Maker Birmingham”. Dbl triggers, extractor. Round knob buttstock checkered in three-point pattern with 14-1/4″ LOP over steel heel and toe plates with lined center, silver initial shield at back of comb. Jones underlever. Splinter forearm is near fully checkered in four-point pattern. Unengraved case hardened frame with elegant gold inlaid “W Cashmore” on sides. Weight: 8 lbs. 14 oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls with toned blued finish minor scratches and evidence of a couple of old dents removed and two bulges in front of right chamber. Receiver retains approx 85% dark orig case color. Trigger guard retains approx 30% blued finish. Buttstock and forearm are very good with scattered scratches and rubs. Small chip out of right side of forearm towards muzzle. Bores are good with scattered striations and light pitting. Mechanics are very good. Very shootable or a perfect candidate for sleeving.
